What to Expect During an Appointment

It's normal to feel a bit uncomfortable when doing something new. You'll be meeting new people. What will they think of you? What will you have to do? At LifeNet, we will do our best to relieve any fears you may have about coming to our center. We're here to help you in any way we can. We're on your side!

So what can you expect when you walk through our doors? You will find a smiling face. Of course, there will be paperwork -- there's always paperwork! But we use this to find out more information to better help you.  Our volunteer coaches will review the info and answer any questions you might have. Again, we're here to serve you!

If you are at LifeNet for a pregnancy test, we will give you jar for a few drops of urine which you will use for the medical-grade pregnancy test. It has the capability to detect pregnancy as early as  1 day after a missed period. And it only takes 3 minutes for results. We understand that you want to know as quickly as possible if you're pregnant or not.

Pregnancy can make you feel a little overwhelmed and unsure about what to do. We can help you figure out what to do next.  You can be honest with us.  If you’re looking at options, we can give you up-to-date information on abortion, adoption, and parenting.  We promise your fears won’t be dismissed and we won’t pressure you.  We don’t want you to feel manipulated; after all, your decision impacts YOU the most so we want you to feel confident in your choice. When it comes to unplanned pregnancies, it’s natural to have questions.  LifeNet has trained volunteers who are available to answer all of your questions.  Our center is a judgment free zone, and we will never discriminate against anyone based on their personal beliefs or preferences. Our only goal is to offer you accurate, up-to-date information and empower you to make an informed decision regarding you and your pregnancy.

Our goal is to see you thrive and succeed, no matter what pregnancy choice you make.  If there is a service that you are in need of, such as housing, food, continuing your education, finances, finding medical or dental care, relationship struggles, adoption agencies, or other issues, we will do our best to connect you to local resources that can attend to your needs.  If you’re not sure how to pay for your medical care, we will make sure you know how to apply for Medicaid.

It is our hope that this guide has de-mystified our services and what you can expect when you make an appointment at our center.  At LifeNet, we are committed to providing you with the care and support you need to navigate your pregnancy, whether it is planned or unplanned.  All of our pregnancy related services are 100% free and confidential. To schedule an appointment at our center, give us a call at 530.727.9888. We are here to serve you.  We hope you keep us in mind if you or a friend need any of our services in the future.
